Recording is easy if you follow the guide. 👍

You’ll need to record both an individual message and a group wave in order to upload your video.

Remember to position your phone vertically.

1. Recording the individual message (with sound, 15 seconds max.)

You can record a message of up to 15 seconds in Gifvie or upload a video from your smartphone’s camera roll.

*Note that if you upload a video of more than 15 seconds from your smartphone, only the first 15 seconds will be used and the rest will be discarded.

When recording, position your face within the dotted line shown. If you stand too far from your phone, your voice may be too quiet and could be drowned out by background music in the final video.

2. Playback / Re-recording

After the recording ends, you’ll be able to play it back. You can record again if you’re not happy with the results.

You can record as many times as you like. However, note that the previous recording will be discarded when you tap the button to record again.

3. Recording the group wave (no sound, 5 seconds)

This will be edited into a single scene featuring all participants. You can wave or even dance, but you cannot record voice.

If you prefer to upload a video from your smartphone’s camera roll, make sure it’s at least 5 seconds long. Otherwise, you won’t be able to proceed to the next step.

4. Final check and proceed

When you’re happy with both videos, tap the OK button and enter a nickname on the next screen.

You can also provide an email address if you’d like to be notified when the final video is complete.
